A week as a sheet metal worker

A lot happens high up. It has to be documented, because the customer stays on the ground.

  1. Measuring upGutters and flashings are measured in running metres. Notes and photos become a draft from your prices.
  2. The workshopFlashings are folded in the workshop. The hours are recorded on the job, so they end up on the invoice and in the contribution margin.
  3. On the roofPhotos of joints and flashings are taken while you are up there, and are kept on the job and in the handover report.
  4. With the carpenterIf you are a subcontractor on a roof, you send your invoice to the main contractor with CVR and a reference to the job.
  5. GuaranteeAfter handover you can issue a guarantee certificate that the customer can look up with a link.
